From the mountain to the job. The same standard.

ESTEPA was born on the rock face, not in an office. We're Martin and Carlos, two climbers who spent five years working in the Swiss Alps doing vertical work: high-altitude maintenance and construction, held by a rope, in an environment as extreme as the one back home. Those years took us to the highest rope-access certification — IRATA Level 3 — the grade held only by those responsible for the safety of an entire team.

What we learned there isn't in any catalogue: the difference between a garment that's certified and one that only looks it isn't a piece of paper — it's the margin. In Switzerland that standard isn't up for debate; it's tested, documented and met. We lived it wearing it, shift after shift, with our lives hanging from the equipment on our backs.

We came home and found the other side. In Argentina's harshest environments — mining, oil and gas, the steppe that gives this brand its name — people face the same risks, often with gear that isn't up to the job. ESTEPA exists to close that gap: to bring the standard we learned abroad to the people who need it here. Every garment is built for the terrain where it will be worn, by people who know what it means to depend on the equipment they have on.
